Ed Sheeran’s cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Masters of War’. More tuneful but less gritty than the original, Ed lends an acoustic refresh to this powerful song.
Three piece Brooklyn-based group The Lone Bellow lend rich harmonies and a country feel to this acoustic cover of Stephen Stills’ For What It’s Worth (you can see the original here). Sam Tsui and Kurt Hugo Schneider are American musicians and YouTube celebrities. Attending both high school and, later, Yale University together, Sam and Kurt started off as a duo but now do independent projects as well as working together. They have covered many popular artists such as Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars and, here, Lady Gaga.

Swedish sister-duo First Aid Kit‘s earthy cover of ‘Tiger Mountain Peasant Song’ by Fleet Foxes. This is the cover that brought them YouTube fame, leading to the sisters performing the song with Fleet Foxes in concert. They have since gone from strength to strength releasing two albums (The Big Black & Blue and The Lion’s Roar) and winning the Nordic Music Prize for 2012.
